I am looking for some noise cancelling or noise reducing headphones. To tell ya the truth I don’t know the difference. I play acoustic drums which are very loud. All I want is some headphones that I can use my iPod with when I am playing the drums. I like to listen to songs and play along with them but my problem is that I use earbuds and I have to balst the music so I can hear over the drums. That makes my ears ring and does me no good. I want something that can make the drums softer but not COMPLETELY gone and nice audio so I can use it on a day to day basis. Also IF you want to explain to me what to look for and wht is “better” whne looking for a pair of headphones I would appreciate it. oh..and Im not intrested in the bosse 3’s. I dont want in ear buds or ON ear headphones. Id prefer over ear. The buds hurt…I’ve tried a few. Links to good headphones at reasonable prices(round$100) is cool. I want a pair of noise-canceling headphones which can drown out some of the sounds while riding on a lawnmower. Listening to a radio is tough on a loud mower, and I would also like to drown out some of the noise. Can anyone give me recommendations?

I’ve heard great things about Bose, but I’m wondering if there is anything that will still do a very good job at less cost. I want to add that I want to get them becuase I have autism and am extremely sound sensitive to everyday sounds-most especially crying/shreiking kids and dogs barking. I want to hear from those of you with experience. Thank you.
