Question by tropicalorange: searching for a pair of under headphones (”ear cup” style), very good bass, lengthy life and ambient noice cancel
currently have a pair of sony MDR-XD100 ’s and im not totally impressed with them. i find they work nicely when im in a quiet location but im searching to use these outside of my home far more-so than in. im on a student income ($ ) and have to compete with bus rides and crowds and that so outside noise cancellation is quite important for me. im not searching for bose good quality just something thats very good for a $ 50 or so cost range. ive been scanning amazon.com for reviews and so far i havent actually found anything THAT appealing.

aid anybody?
thanks!

I’ve answered this before and I’ll give you the exact same answer:

If you live in the USA, go to Radio Shack. Give’m a attempt in the store. If you like it, buy’em and attempt them on the bus.

Very good factor about Radio Shack is their guarantee: If you don’t like something, you can return it inside 14 days with just about hassle.

What do you feel? Answer below!

Specifically, the ITHP-572 ones. I bought them for a great price on Black Friday but I don’t know if they are still good despite being from late 2003? (according to Amazon)
On a side note, if you know anything about these particular headphone’s quality I’m glad to hear about it =)

I’m looking for a pair of good in-ear noise cancelling or blocking headphones. When I say good, I mean that they will effectively block outside noise. It doesn’t bother me if the bass isn’t very good or if the overall sound isn’t incredibly sharp. I just want to be able to hear most of the music, it is ok if some details don’t quite come through. I’m not interested in big names like Bose or anything, just the most inexpensive pair that won’t break and will get the job done. I want to be able to use them in a noisy gym at a sporting event where there are many people talking without having to crank the volume up so loud that I go deaf. Thanks

To wear on the train, I don’t need the $300 Bose ones, just one that will reduce the noise enough to listen to an audiobook. Im thinking under $50. Again dont need the fancy ones, I may fall asleep and miss my stop.

I am 16 years old and in the last two years of school. I go to a boarding school and was wondering if noise cancelling headphones would help to block out the noise to help study.
Common noises that I would have to block out: TV (I am a fair way away so it is only a faint noise that isnt there too much, talking, showers and the like.
I’m thinking of the Skullcandy noise cancelling headphones. Any good?
My other alternative is the Skullcandy TI CHick ones (white and pink)
As well as noise cancelling I’d like to be able to use them with my ipod around the place.
Thanks

My skullcandy’s just broke, and i’m looking for a new pair of noise-canceling earbuds, but I can’t find ANYTHING good – does anyone know of a pair of inexpensive ($30 at the most) in ear headphones that will last me a long time and have good sound quality?

I’m looking for a pair of noise-cancelling headphones that I can plug into my iPod or computer so I can enjoy my music and just my music. I also need a reasonable price ($20 – $50?). So please don’t suggest a $200 set.
If you don’t know a specific model, which is a good name brand to go with?
Thanks!
