My boyfriend is a total tech nerd! He loves his gadgets and they are always the best of best. For Valentine’s Day I want to buy him some amazing headphones & I don’t have any idea where to start. He mentioned he wanted noise-reducing or noise-canceling and he wanted them to be large (full-ear coverage) — can someone help me? Cost isn’t a concern, just quality and what website can I find them at?

For noise-cancelling headphones, they blocks out outside noises right? Well, I want a headphone such that I can use it on an airplane where I turn up the music really loud (like heavy metal), and the person right next to me would not hear a thing at all. I’ve heard white or pink noise works for this. But technically speaking if you had a microphone and some device/software to reverse the polarity of the incoming audio and play it.. theoretically it should cancel out the sounds altogether.
